The CVIR and CVIR Endovascular Awards Reception was a highlight of CIRSE 2025, celebrating excellence in interventional radiology publishing: outstanding contributions to CVIR and CVIR Endovascular were recognised, with award-winning papers and dedicated reviewers honoured for their impact on the field.
The ceremony featured the outgoing Editors-in-Chief - Klaus Hausegger (CVIR) and Jim Reekers (CVIR Endovascular) - alongside the awardees, providing an inspiring moment to acknowledge the high-quality research shaping IR.
The event concluded with food and drinks, offering a chance for attendees to connect, network, and celebrate the achievements of the IR publishing community.
With Meet the Minds, attendees of CIRSE 2025 had the unique opportunity to meet the new Editors-in-Chief of the CIRSE Journal Family in person:

This informal session offered a chance to engage directly with the editorial leadership as mentors and experienced professionals: participants asked questions on publication insights, editorial strategy, and broader career development, connecting with the minds shaping the future of interventional radiology publishing.
During our Instant Feedback activity, researchers with manuscripts in the works had the opportunity to join a face-to-face feedback session with three of our expert Section Editors:

Mark Burgmans for CVIR Oncology
Participants discussed manuscript ideas and drafts, receiving constructive, real-time input before submission. This interactive session provided a valuable editorial perspective and practical advice to help improve future submissions to the CIRSE journals.
At CIRSE 2025, the CIRSE Journals Social Media Contest was a huge success, celebrating the creativity of attendees and the presence of the CIRSE Journal Family at the congress!
Participants shared photos and videos featuring merchandise from the journals and snapshots with the cutout boards of our new Editors-in-Chief, showcasing the engagement and enthusiasm of the IR community.
