CIRSE Journals Virtual Reception Highlights

On September 21, 2021 CVIR Endovascular Editor-in-Chief Jim A. Reekers and CVIR Editor-in-Chief Klaus Hausegger were joined by many colleagues and friends of CIRSE to praise this year's CIRSE Journals Award Winners.

We were honoured to be joined by colleagues from around the globe in order to celebrate the award winners. Prof. Hausegger echoed this himself: "This is international IR. Just remember that we cover every region of the world, from Australia to Europe to North and South America. If you publish in our journals, you can be sure that your paper would be distributed and read worldwide."

The role of authors, reviewers, editors and staff in making these journals possible cannot be understated. As Prof. Reekers asserted, "Being a reviewer is not important only for yourself because you are the first to know, but also by being a reviewer you contribute to your profession and to CIRSE" and we couldn't agree more. Both editors-in-chief thanked all authors and reviewers for their hard work, gave updates on the progress of both journals and moved on to highlight the achievements of this year's award winners.

Although this year's award ceremony, part of the CIRSE 2021 Summit, took place online, we look forward to hopefully seeing you all next year in person!
