To honour its most outstanding authors and reviewers from the previous year, CVIR Endovascular introduced the "Awards for Outstanding Service to the Journal" in 2020. In 2023, the award for most
cited article will be introduced in recognition of the high performance of many journal articles and an award for young investigators will offer the author an article processing charge (APC)
waiver for 2024 (details below).
The awards are given out during CIRSE's annual meeting. The CVIR Endovascular awards are:
• Most downloaded article
• Article with the best media performance
• Most reviews carried out
• Most cited article (new since 2023)
• Young investigator award (new since 2023)
Application process for 2024 closed - a big thank you to all of this year's applicants.
The award winner will receive a waiver for an article to be published in CVIR Endovascular in 2025. The paper that would be eligible for a 2025 waiver should be a review article (according to the
PRISMA or COCHRANE guidelines) or an original article (no case report) on any topic within the journal
scope. The waiver manuscript must go through peer-review and be accepted before being granted a waiver.
