CVIR Endovascular Year in Review: 2025

As 2025 comes to an end, CVIR Endovascular looks back on a year of continued growth and development.

This year marked an important transition for the journal, with the appointment of a new Editor-in-Chief following the successful tenure of Prof. Jim Reekers, whose vision and leadership helped establish CVIR Endovascular as a respected, high-quality journal within the interventional radiology community.

In 2025, CVIR Endovascular achieved a significant milestone, with its impact factor increasing from 1.2 to 1.5, reflecting the journal’s growing influence and the high calibre of work published. A record number of submissions was received, while the journal remained firmly committed to its guiding principle of quality above quantity.

The journal continues to strengthen its role as an international platform for knowledge exchange in interventional radiology, supported by growing readership and engagement and further development of its content and initiatives.

Looking ahead to 2026, CVIR Endovascular aims to further expand its international reach and strengthen collaboration among interventional radiology professionals worldwide.

Sincere thanks are extended to all authors, reviewers, and readers for their continued support.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy 2026.
